Jacob Makhubu, son of a liberation hero, is a promising young South African businessman. He is in the throes of bidding for a big contract to build an energy source for government when he is offered a of a lifetime with a Nigerian company, the Empire. They will provide all the financial backing his energy bid requires, on the condition that he takes up a position of CEO. He flies to Lagos to meet Chief Abayomi, head of the Abayomi Empire.
