Mike Flanagan returns to Netflix with another horror miniseries following Hill House and Bly Manor
The Fall of the House of Usher is a Netflix miniseries with gothic and horror elements from Mike Flanagan. Drawing inspiration from Edgar Allan Poe's short story and several of his other writings, the miniseries marks a return to the streaming platform for Flanagan. His previous Netflix works include The Haunting of Hill House, Bly Manor, Midnight Mass and The Midnight Club. He has also directed numerous horror films such as Hush, Ouija: Origin of Evil, Gerald's Game and Doctor Sleep.
Several actors who have previously worked with Flanagan are part of the cast of House of Usher. This ensemble includes Carla Gugino in the role of Verna, Bruce Greenwood portraying Roderick Usher, Samantha Sloyan as Tamerlane Usher, T'Nia Miller as Victorine LaFourcade, Rahul Kohli playing Napoleon Usher, Kate Siegel as Camille L'Espanaye and Henry Thomas as Frederick Usher. Additionally, the cast features Mary McDonnell as Madeline Usher, Carl Lumbly as C. Auguste Dupin, Michael Trucco as Rufus Wilmot Griswold, Mark Hamill as Arthur Pym and Paola Nuñez as Dr. Alessandra "Al" Ruiz.
