A star-studded voice cast including Michelle Yeoh and Russell Crowe lend their talents to animated fantasy series
Ark: The Animated Series is an animated fantasy TV series created by Jeremy Stieglitz and Jesse Rapczack. It is based on the video game, Ark: Survival Evolved, which Stieglitz and Rapczack also created. Jay Olivia is the showrunner for the series while Marguerite Bennett and Kendall Deacon Davis serve as the head writers. Gareth Coker, the original composer of the video game, returns to produce the captivating sound for the series.
The series features an impressive voice cast, bringing to life its intriguing characters. Madeleine Madden voices the character of Helena Walker, an Australian paleontologist from the 21st century who wakes up on the ARK with no memory of how she got there. Gerard Butler stars as General Gaius Marcellus Nerva, a ruthless ruler from ancient Rome. Devery Jacobs voices the character Alasie, a lively Inuit teenager from the 17th century who is struggling to find her place on the ARK. Cissy Jones voices The Gladiatrix, a commander in an army under the leadership of Nerva, who is known to be a formidable fighter. Malcolm McDowell voices Senator Lucius Cassius Virilis, an aristocrat known for his cunning ways during the reign of Augustus Caesar. Elliot Page voices Victoria Walker, the wife of Helena and a dedicated humanitarian aid worker who is highly idealistic. David Tennant stars as Sir Edmund Rockwell, the primary antagonist of the series and a brilliant but egocentric scientist from the 19th century who harbors mysterious ambitions.
Alan Tudyk voices The Captain, a pirate who profits from his voyages around the ARK. Karl Urban as Bob, a recent arrival to the ARK. Jeffrey Wright as Henry Townsend, an American watchmaker and spy for the Patriots during the American Revolutionary War from the 18th century. Academy Award winner Michelle Yeoh as Mei-yin Li, a Chinese rebel leader known as the "Beast Queen" from the 3rd century and feared throughout the ARK. Ron Yuan as Han Li, Mei-yin's brother and fellow Chinese rebel leader from the 3rd century. Oscar winner Russell Crowe as Kor the Prophet, an eccentric character who claims to be a "dino-whisperer" and comes from before recorded history. Vin Diesel as Santiago, a freedom fighter and pilot of a Mek from the 24th century and Monica Bellucci as Cassia Virila.
