Michelle Yeoh and Russell Crowe, among other stars, lend their voice talents to animated fantasy series

Ark: The Animated Series season 1 is the first season of the animated fantasy TV series from Jeremy Stieglitz and Jesse Rapczack. The series is an adaptation of the video game Ark: Survival Evolved, which was also developed by Stieglitz and Rapczack. Jay Olivia is the showrunner with Marguerite Bennett and Kendall Deacon Davis as the lead writers. Gareth Coker, who composed the music for the video game, returns to produce the sound for the series.

The series boasts an impressive voice cast. Madeleine Madden portrays Helena Walker, a paleontologist from Australia who wakes up on the ARK without any memory of how she got there. Gerard Butler plays the role of General Gaius Marcellus Nerva, a merciless ruler from ancient Rome. Devery Jacobs gives voice to Alasie, a vivacious Inuit teenager from the 17th century struggling to find her place on the ARK. Cissy Jones plays The Gladiatrix, a commander in Nerva's army and a fearsome warrior. Malcolm McDowell portrays Senator Lucius Cassius Virilis, a cunning aristocrat from the time of Augustus Caesar. Elliot Page voices Victoria Walker, Helena's wife, and a passionate humanitarian aid worker with high ideals. David Tennant stars as Sir Edmund Rockwell, the primary antagonist of the series and an accomplished but self-centered scientist from the 19th century with mysterious aspirations.

Alan Tudyk lends his voice to The Captain, a pirate who profits from his travels across the ARK. Karl Urban portrays Bob, a newcomer to the ARK. Jeffrey Wright voices Henry Townsend, an American watchmaker and spy for the Patriots during the American Revolutionary War from the 18th century. Academy Award winner Michelle Yeoh portrays Mei-yin Li, a Chinese rebel leader known as the "Beast Queen" from the 3rd century, feared throughout the ARK. Ron Yuan voices Han Li, Mei-yin's brother and a fellow Chinese rebel leader from the 3rd century. Oscar recipient Russell Crowe voices Kor the Prophet, an unconventional character who claims to be a "dino-whisperer" and hails from before recorded history. Vin Diesel plays Santiago, a pilot of a Mek and a freedom fighter from the 24th century, while Monica Bellucci voices Cassia Virila.
