Ethan Coen's solo feature film debut boasts impressive cast including Margaret Qualley, Beanie Feldstein, Colman Domingo, Pedro Pascal and Matt Damon
Drive-Away Dolls is a road trip-comedy film co-written and directed by Ethan Coen for Universal Pictures. Coen wrote the screenplay with his wife, Tricia Cooke. He is best known for being half of the Academy Award-winning Coen Brothers directing duo, with his brother Joel. The pair won the Oscar for Best Picture and Best Director for their 2008 Western crime thriller, No Country for Old Men and have received multiple nominations through numerous award bodies including the BAFTAs, Primetime Emmy Awards and Golden Globes. Other notable titles they've directed include Burn After Reading, A Serious Man and True Grit. Both Ethan Coen and Tricia Cooke also serve as producers on Drive-Away Dolls alongside Robert Graf, Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner.
Acclaimed cinematographer Ari Wegner handles the cinematography on the film. He previously received an Oscar nomination for his work on The Power of the Dog. Frequent Coen Brothers collaborator and respected composer, Carter Burwell, handles the film's music. He's worked with them on such titles as Fargo, The Big Lebowski, No Country for Old Men and The Ballad of Buster Scruggs.
Margaret Qualley leads Drive-Away Dolls as Jamie. She is joined by Geraldine Viswanathan as Marian and Beanie Feldstein as Sukie. A number of celebrated Hollywood actors also appear in the film including Colman Domingo as Chief, Pedro Pascal as Santos, Bill Camp as Curlie and Matt Damon as Senator Channel.
