Synopsis
Scott Pilgrim wants to date Ramona, but there are some seriously evil exes standing in their way
Scott Pilgrim is a bass guitarist in his local indie band Sex Bob-omb, and he’s head over heels in love with Ramona. Before they can date, he has to defeat her exes, who have teamed up to sabotage any and all of her potential future relationships.

The cast of the original 2010 Scott Pilgrim vs The World movie returns for Netflix anime reboot series
Scott Pilgrim Takes Off is an action-adventure romantic comedy anime series. Based on a graphic novel series written by Bryan Lee O’Malley, the series is developed by O’Malley and BenDavid Grabinski for Netflix. The 2010 live-action feature film of the same name was also adapted from the original graphic novel series. The film was directed by Edgar Wright (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, Baby Driver), who returns as an executive producer of the anime series, alongside O’Malley, Grabinski, Nira Park, Marc Platt, Jared LeBoff, co-writer Michael Bacall, and Adam Seigel.
Scott Pilgrim vs the World had an underwhelming performance at the box office, but has become a cult-classic amongst comic book and movie fans. It is especially favoured due to a number of names in the original film cast who have gone onto star in major superhero movies including Chris Evans as Captain America, Brie Larson as Captain Marvel and Brandon Routh as Superman and Ray Palmer / Atom in Arrow.
The entire cast of the original film are returning to voice the anime series, with Michael Cera (Arrested Development) as Scott Pilgrim, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Live Free or Die Hard) as Ramona Flowers. Satya Bhabha is Matthew Patel, Kieran Culkin as Wallace Wels, Chris Evans as Lucas Lee, Anna Kendrick as Stacey Pilgrim, Brie Larson as Envy Adams, Alison Pill as Kim Pine, Aubrey Plaza as Julie powers, Brandon Routh as Todd Ingram, Jason Schwartzman as Gideon Graves, Mark Webber as Stephen Stills, Johnny Simmons as Young Neil, Mae Whitman as Roxie and Ellen Wong as Knives Chau.

- An anime series based on Bryan Lee O'Malley's Scott Pilgrim graphic novels was being developed by Netflix and Universal Content Productions. O'Malley was revealed as the showrunner, writer and executive producer for the anime series along with BenDavid Grabinski. Abel Góngora was appointed as the animator for the project. Edgar Wright and Michael Bacall, who directed and wrote the 2010 live-action film adaptation of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World respectively, are also involved with the anime as executive producers.
