Mr and Mrs Smith is a spy comedy series created by Donald Glover and Francesca Sloane. The show is based on the story and characters written by Simon Kinberg in the 2005 film which starred Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt as the married spies. Mr and Mrs Smith is produced by Amazon Studios, Gilga, Cherry Pop Productions and New Regency. Phoebe Waller-Bridge was originally attached to the project, as a co-creator and star of the show. She dropped out due to creative differences. The show will be available to stream worldwide on Amazon Prime Video.
Donald Glover stars in the series as John Smith, alongside Maya Erksine as Jane Smith. The Smiths are a married couple who agree to work as spies for a mysterious intelligence agency. Parker Posey, Wagner Moura, Michaela Coel, John Turturro and Paul Dano are all part of the featured cast on the series.
