In the quiet suburb of Wylie, Texas, Candy Montgomery can no longer be the perfect housewife, and wants to have an affair. Her actions wreak havoc across the whole town, causing more chaos than she could have imagined.
Love and Death is a crime drama miniseries produced by Lionsgate Television and Blossom Films. Nicole Kidman (Rabbit Hole, Nine Perfect Strangers) serves as executive producer of the series. David E. Kelley (Ally McBeal, Big Little Lies) is showrunner and head writer of the series, which is based on the book Evidence of Love: A True Story of Passion and Death in the Suburbs by Jim Atkinson. The miniseries is directed by Lesli Linka Glatter, a film and television director known for her work on Homeland and Mad Men.
American actress Elizabeth Olsen (WandaVision) leads the cast as Candy Montgomery, the real-life suburban housewife accused of murdering her lover’s wife. Jesse Plemons (Fargo, Friday Night Lights) plays her love Allan Gore, and Lily Rabe (American Horror Story) his murdered wife Betty. Patrick Fugit (Outcast) plays Candy’s husband Pat. Krysten Ritter (Marvel’s Jessica Jones), Keir Gilchrist (Atypical), Elizabeth Marvel (Unbelievable) and Tom Pelphrey (Ozark) round up the wider cast.
