Predator: Killer of Killers (2025)

An animated anthology that takes what worked about Prey and amplifies it in some shockingly effective ways, Predator: Killer of Killers might be the best movie in the franchise. Split across three time periods (with three very different lead characters and approaches to action), Killer of Killers is an action-packed blast that melds the goriest of Predator kills with striking animation. The emotional core of the film is strong, proving how to thread the line between sci-fi action and genuine emotion. I was lucky enough to see an early screening in a theater, and it was an amazing spectacle.

Don't let the animation fool you. This bad boy is just as bloody, gory, and violent as its R-rated predecessors. Stuffed with jaw-dropping kills, Killer of Killers winds through three distinct historical settings, delivering something almost akin to fan fiction as Predators face off against samurai, Viking warriors, and a WWII fighter pilot. It's about as cool as it sounds, with a breakneck pace that keeps you glued to the screen. It feels a little like Black Mirror meets, well, Predator with a dash of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The final climax is the movie's best part!
