As the families continue to process their grief over Susannah while rejoicing in being able to keep the house, Belly and Laurel return to Cousins Beach for another summer. There, Belly will finally have to face her feelings for both Jeremiah and Conrad.
The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 is the upcoming third season of Amazon’s hit coming-of-age teen drama show. The show is created by young adult author Jenny Han, whose other book series, To All The Boys, became a hit movie adaptation on Netflix. Han wrote the novels behind The Summer I Turned Pretty (The Summer I Turned Pretty, It's Not Summer Without You, and We’ll Always Have Summer) and plays a key role in adapting her works for the small screen. While each season follows the corresponding books, some key deviations are made. However, season 3 will roughly follow the events of the third book, We’ll Always Have Summer, with some adaptations.
Lola Tung returns to her role as Isabel ‘Belly’ Conklin, the smart and ambitious girl at the heart of the story. Gavin Casalegno and Christopher Briney return as brothers Jeremiah and Conrad, who both act as Belly’s love interests. Belly’s mother, Laurel Park, is once more played by Jackie Chung, while Belly’s older brother, Steven, is played by Sean Kaufman. Other members of the cast likely returning for season 3 are Colin Ferguson, Rain Spencer, Alfredo Narciso, Tom Everett Scott, and David Iacono, in addition to season 2 newcomers Kyra Sedgwick and Elsie Fisher.
