In 3034, human beings have become a drone-like species engaged only in the destruction and colonization of other species across space. Having had all compassion removed from them, the humans of the starship Nemesis are on a mission to destroy an alien race known as the Reptids. But when their enemies unleash a weapon that unlocks the power of human emotion, it sends both rival ships spiraling into the past, directly into the 21st century.
