Synopsis
The Lioness Program is an all-female special ops unit training to take down terrorists
The Lioness Program is a dedicated division set up to train the next generation of female operatives within the CIA. Seasoned station chief, Joe was once a special agent but is now mentoring the program’s latest recruit. Cruz Manuelos is a marine who is used to the harsh realities of battle and unaccustomed to the life of an undercover operative. In her mission, she must befriend the daughter of a billionaire who is clandestinely funding an entire terrorist network. The success of the entire Lioness program is on her shoulders and in the field there’s nowhere to hide.

Special Ops: Lioness Season 1 is a spy thriller television series. It is created by the critically-acclaimed writer and television producer Taylor Sheridan. Sheridan is known for creating the television shows Yellowstone and the spin-off series' 1883 and 1923. He is also the co-creator of The Mayor of Kingstown and Tulsa King. Special Ops: Lioness Season 1 is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios, and Blossom Films.
Special Ops: Lioness Season 1 boasts an all-star cast led by the iconic actress Zoe Saldana who plays station chief, Joe. She is joined by Academy Award-winning actress Nicole Kidman who also serves as an executive producer on the show. She stars as Kaitlyn Meade, head of the Lioness Program. Adding more stardust to the cast is renowned actor Morgan Freeman who plays Secretary of State, Edwin Mullins. Laysla De Oliveira stars as Cruz Manuelos while Stephanie Nur plays Aaliyah. The expanded cast includes Michael Kelly, Dave Annable, LaMonica Garrett, Jill Wagner, James Jordan, and others. Special Ops: Lioness Season 1 was released on Paramount+ on July 23rd, 2023.
