Synopsis
The entire first-season cast of Rita Rocks is back – plus one! Nicole Sullivan (“MADtv”) stars as Rita Clemens, an overworked (and expectant!) mother, wife, and former lead singer of a Bangles cover band who has traded in a life of jam sessions and rock clubs for carpools and PTA meetings. On the verge of a full-blown identity crisis, Rita struggles to maintain romance with her husband Jay, juggle the demands of her 9-year-old daughter, Shannon, and discipline her defiant teenage daughter, Hallie and her ever-present boyfriend, Kip. With the hope of getting a little bit of the “old Rita” back, she formed a garage band with Kip, postal carrier Patty, and an unemployed neighbor Owen. Season two continues to follow Rita on a quest for balance as she humorously juggles her job, her kids, her household, and her band…all while expecting a newborn.
