Synopsis
It's an all too familiar scene on Australia's 1,700 mile long Stuart Highway, the road that cuts through the centre of the outback: a kangaroo mum lying dead on the tarmac, her baby still inside her pouch. But one man is determined to help these little orphans. Brolga is a six foot six Australian outbacker with a heart of gold and a kangaroo sanctuary. This series follows Brolga and his team of helpers as they nurse the joeys back to life and eventually release them into the wild. While packed with warm, surprising, heart-wrenching and uplifting stories about individual roos, Kangaroo Dundee also offers a rare insight into the bizarre biology and fascinating family life of one of the Earth's most charismatic and unusual animals.
