Synopsis
Emily of New Moon tells the captivating story of a free-spirited girl orphaned at the age of 11 whose vivid imagination and passion to write put her in conflict with her new and strict adoptive family. Filmed on Canada's Prince Edward Island against a backdrop of dramatic coastal landscapes, the series is based on the books by Lucy Maud Montgomery. Set in the 1890's but written for the 1990's, Emily faces all the concerns confronting today's preteens along with the added challenges of her own times.
