Synopsis
Narrated by acclaimed actor and Irish native Liam Neeson, the series 1916 commemorates the 100th anniversary of this seminal event that led to the establishment of an independent Irish State and, indirectly, to the breakup of the British Empire.ON EASTER MONDAY 1916, a small group of Irish rebels-including poets, teachers, actors, and workers-took on the might of the British Empire.
