Danai Gurira and Andrew Lincoln reprise their iconic Walking Dead roles for ABC spinoff series
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live Season 1 is the first season of the post-apocalyptic drama-horror series produced by AMC Studios. The series is a spinoff of the original The Walking Dead series, and sees the resolution of Rick and Michonne’s love story as they attempt to find each other again. Scott Gimple, who ran the original show for four seasons, acts as showrunner for the spinoff, and creates the series alongside lead actress Danai Gurira. The season takes place over 6 episodes.
Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira return as Rick Grimes and Michonne. The characters met and fell in love throughout the course of 11 seasons on The Walking Dead. They are joined by Pollyanna McIntosh as Jadis Stokes, who was first introduced as the leader of the Scavengers on The Walking Dead, and later appeared in the World Beyond spinoff series. Other members of the cast include Lesley-Ann Brandt as Pearl Thorne, Matthew August Jeffers as Nat, and Terry O'Quinn as Major General Beale.
