Synopsis
Can Alexander Colbourne resolve his internal turmoil before it’s too late?
Charlotte returns to Sanditon with her new fiancé Ralph in tow. But one Sanditon resident is far from pleased. Alexander Colbourne still longs for Charlotte, but is he too late? What to know
Season 3 will be the final season of Sanditon
Sanditon Season 3 is the third season in the PBS period drama. Sanditon is based on an unfinished manuscript by famed author Jane Austen (Pride and Prejudice). The series is adapted for TV by Andrew Davies and stars Rose Williams as Charlotte Heywood, the spirited young woman who comes to stay in Sanditon.
The returning cast includes Cai Bridgen as Charlotte’s fiancé, Ralph Starling, Crystal Clarke as Charlotte’s close friend Georgiana Lambe, and Ben Lloyd-Hughes as Charlotte’s former love-interest, Alexander Colbourne. Season 3 includes a new cast member in Edward Davis, who plays Lord Montrose. Tom Weston-Jones, who played Colonel Francis Lennox, and Charlotte Spencer, who played Esther in the series sadly do not return to Sanditon for the final season.
