So, taking time out from her many screen commitments, this “78-year-old, fat Jewish lesbian” is going on the epic “grey nomad” adventure of a lifetime. Travelling 10,000 kilometers in 8 weeks, Miriam wants to test her understanding of Australia against the people she meets – and, in particular, to explore the ideas that, for more than 40 years, have summed up Australia for her: the Australian Dream, mateship and the Lucky Country.
