Ridley Scott returns to executive produce Amazon’s limited Blade Runner series
Blade Runner 2099 is an upcoming neo-noir sci-fi limited series produced for Amazon Prime Video. Ridley Scott, who directed the original 1982 Blade Runner, returns to executive produce the series. The first two episodes of the series are directed by Jonathan van Tulleken, who is known for his previous work on the series Top Boy, Shogun, and The Changeling. Silka Luisa writes, executive produces, and acts as showrunner for the series. The series takes place 50 years after Blade Runner 2049, which was directed by Denis Villeneuve.
Michelle Yeoh stars in an unknown role in Blade Runner 2099. She is joined by Euphoria star Hunter Schafer.
