Synopsis
Richter Belmont goes vampire hunting during the French Revolution

Netflix returns with a follow-up series after their original Castlevania’s game adaptation success
Castlevania: Nocturne is an animated dark fantasy action series produced by Project 51 Productions and Powerhouse Animation for Netflix. The series is a follow-up to Netflix’s original Castlevania, which focuses on the story of Trevor Belmont’s battle against Dracula. Both series are based on the Japanese video game from Konami originally titled Akumajo Dracula, and the first series achieved critical acclaim as one of the best game adaptations of all time.
Kevin Kolde, the co-executive producer on the original series, acts as showrunner, while Clive Bradely pens the script. The Castlevania games themselves have branched out into several highly successful storylines, books, and films. Castlevania: Nocturne is based on Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, which focus on the vampire hunter Richter Belmont.
