Synopsis
The AlRawabi girls are back at school for another year
School is back in session, and that means another year of growth and struggle for the girls attending AlRawabi. AlRawabi School for Girls Season 2 is the second season of the Jordanian coming-of-age drama series produced by Netflix. Jordanian filmmaker and actress Tima Shomali creates, directs, and co-writes the series, which has been hailed as a groundbreaking production. The series focuses on the lives of teenage girls, from their perspective, and handles topics often avoided in most Middle Eastern and North African productions, and casts a critical eye on the patriarchal structures of the culture.
The series once more stars Andria Tayeh as Mariam, a teen out for revenge against her bullies at school. She is joined by her friends and enemies, played by Rakeen Sa’ad as Noaf, Noor Taher as Layan, Yara Mustafa as Dina, and Joanna Arida as Rania.
