Legendary assassin John Wick is lured out of retirement at the beginning of the John Wick movies. Avenging the murder of his beloved dog, Wick lives up to his reputation as a formidable hitman when facing off against vicious Russian mafia crime boss Viggo Tarasov and his son Iosef.
The assassins operate in a seedy underbelly, where there are only two rules: First, no business can take place at The Continental Hotel, which is a neutral-zone for all. Second, sworn blood oaths called ‘markers’ must always be honoured. Everything else is for the taking. In each of the movies, John Wick faces a dangerous enemy including the High Table - a council of twelve nefarious world leaders.
Starring alongside Keanu Reeves is Ian McShane as Winston Scott, the owner of New York’s The Continental Hotel, Lance Reddick as Charon, Laurence Fishburne as The Bowery King, and Anjelica Huston as The Director. The cast also features Michael Nyqvist, Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgård, and Bridget Moynahan.

The Continental: From The World Of John Wick is a prequel series, focused around Winston Scott before he became the notorious owner of The Continental hotel. Set in 1975, the three-part series explores the underbelly of New York City as Winston and his friends work to create an empire of assassin-neutral zones. The series stars Colin Woodell and Mel Gibson.
John Wick Presents: Ballerina (2025)
John Wick Presents: Ballerina is a spin-off film focused around a young assassin seeking revenge for her family’s murder. The main character, Rooney, was first introduced in John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum. The character was initially played by Unity Phelan, but Ana de Armas stars as the Ballerina in the 2025 movie, with Anjelica Houston and Gabriel Byrne.
Untitled Caine Movie (TBC)
In May 2024, a spin-off film centred around Caine was confirmed. The movie will follow on from the post-credits scene at the end of Chapter 4, with Donnie Yen reprising his role as Caine. Chad Stahelski, Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee are confirmed to produce, with a screenplay written by Robert Askins.
