Set in the golden era of Indian cinema, Jubilee is an Amazon exclusive series loosely based on the Bombay Talkies scandal that shook the Indian film fraternity. Season 1 follows the lives of Bombay’s elite film members leading up to the scandal, and unfolds the chaotic aftermath that transpire after.
This show is created and directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, the man behind the critically acclaimed film Udaan, and the showrunner/co-director of Netflix’s first Indian Tv series, Sacred Games. Jubilee is co-produced by Andolan Films, Phantom Studios and Reliance Entertainment. This show features an impressive line-up of actors, including Aditi Roy Hydari as Sumitara Kumari, and Bengali cinema’s leading actors Prosenjit Chatterjee as Srikant Roy. Bollywood's acclaimed musician Amit Trivedi lends his genius to the shows spellbinding soundtrack.
