Synopsis
Jonas Tyler returns to tackle the worst series of shark attacks since the Jurassic Age in Meg 2: The Trench
Jonas Tyler and his brave research team dive into the deepest corner of the ocean to stop an ancient Megaladon from resurfacing back to the shore. But their mission ends in mayhem when a mining incident overturns their plan, and leaves them all hanging by a thread from the fangs of the biggest, scariest Megaladon they've faced till date.

Meg 2: The Trench is the action thriller sequel to the 2018 film The Meg. The story is based on a book titled, The Trench written by Steve Alten. The movie is directed by Indie filmmaker Ben Wheatley. Some of his popular works include films such as Free Fire, High Rise, and Rebecca. Haris Zambarloukos comes onboard as the cinematographer for Meg 2: The Trench. He's worked on several popular films like Mama Mia!, Thor, and Belfast amongst others.
Jason Statham returns to play the leading role of rescue diver Jonas Tyler. He is joined by Sienna Guillory, of Resident Evil fame. The wider cast includes Cliff Curtis, Shuya Sophia, Page Kennedy, and Skyler Samuels.
