Rachel Weisz plays both Elliot and Beverly Mantle in the remake of David Cronenberg's 1988 psychological thriller, Dead Ringers. The Mantle twins are extremely close and have a shared existence of drug use, sexual partners and a strong desire to push the boundaries of medical ethics. They aim to challenge traditional practices and prioritize women's health by taking whatever measures are necessary.

Dead Ringers is a psychological thriller miniseries on Prime Video. Alice Birch is the miniseries' head writer and executive producer. It is an adaptation of David Cronenberg's 1988 film of the same name and features Rachel Weisz as the lead character which was originally played by Jeremy Irons. Birch is best known for her work on successful television shows like Succession and Normal People. Weisz, Birch, and several others including Stacy O'Neil, Megan Ellison, and David Robinson, serve as executive producers for the miniseries. Sue Naegle, Ali Krug, James G. Robinson, Barbara Wall, Sean Durkin, Anne Carey, and Erica Kay are also involved in the production.
Rachel Weisz takes on the lead roles of Elliot and Beverly Mantle in the miniseries. Weisz is a highly acclaimed actress known for her roles such titles as The Mummy, Disobedience and The Favourite. She previously won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 2006 for her performance in The Constant Gardener. Michael Chernus plays Tom while Poppy Liu portrays Greta and Britne Oldford takes on the role of Genevieve. The cast is completed by Jeremy Shamos as Joseph, Jennifer Ehle as Rebecca and Emily Meade as Susan.
