Dead Ringers is a psychological thriller miniseries on Prime Video with Alice Birch handling head writer and executive producer duties. It is based on the 1988 film of the same name directed by David Cronenberg and stars Rachel Weisz in the lead roles initially played by Jeremy Irons in the film. Birch has previously written for such critically acclaimed TV shows as Succession and Normal People. She and Weisz are executive producers on the miniseries along with Stacy O'Neil, Megan Ellison, Sue Naegle, Ali Krug, James G. Robinson, David Robinson, Barbara Wall, Sean Durkin, Anne Carey and Erica Kay.
Rachel Weisz leads the miniseries as Elliot and Beverly Mantle. The celebrated actress has appeared in a number of successful films throughout her career including The Mummy, Disobedience and The Favourite. She previously won her Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 2006 for her role in The Constant Gardener. She is joined by Michael Chernus who portrays Tom, Poppy Liu as Greta and Britne Oldford as Genevieve. Jeremy Shamos, Jennifer Ehle and Emily Meade round out the cast playing Joseph, Rebecca and Susan respectively.

The show will be developed by Annapurna Television, and Alice Birch has been chosen as the lead writer and executive producer.
