Synopsis
Former elite spy agents join forces to stop Manticore's attempt to establish New World Order
A group called Manticore destroyed the independent global spy agency called Citadel eight years ago. Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh, who were top agents of Citadel, managed to survive the attack but lost their memories. Now, after eight years, Bernard Orlick, who used to work with Mason, seeks his assistance to stop Manticore from establishing a new global regime.

Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas star in Russo Brothers-produced Prime Video action-thriller series
Citadel is a sci-fi action thriller TV series created by David Weil for Prime Video. Weil is best known for creating another Prime Video original series, Hunters, along with co-creating the Apple TV+ sci-fi series, Invasion. Anthony and Joe Russo, who have numerous directing credits within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) including Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Endgame, are executive producers on Citadel. There are a number of executive producers who join the Russos and Weil in producing duties including Mike Larocca, Angela Russo-Otstot, Scott Nemes, Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, Scott Rosenberg, Newton Thomas Sigel and Patrick Moran.
Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas lead the series as agents Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh respectively. Stanley Tucci stars as Bernard Orlick, Lesley Manville as Dahlia Archer and Osy Ikhile as Carter Spence. Ashleigh Cummings as Abby Conroy, Roland Møller as Anders Silje and Davik Silje and Caoilinn Springall as Hendrix Conroy round out the cast.

- Jennifer Salke, the head of Amazon Studios, initially contacted the Russo brothers and their independent studio AGBO in 2018 to produce a worldwide spy show. The series was initially developed by AGBO in collaboration with Midnight Radio, a group of screenwriters including Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec. However, during the show's production in 2021, Midnight Radio left the project due to disagreements with the Russo brothers over creative direction.
