Netflix renews The Night Agent for a second season after the global success of season 1
The Night Agent season 2 is the upcoming second season of Netflix’s hugely successful action thriller television series. The show is created by Shawn Ryan and based on Matthew Quirk’s novel of the same name. The Night Agent is produced by James Dodson and Nick Bradley via Netflix and Sony Pictures Television Studios. The Night Agent season 1 was watched for 168.71 million hours worldwide in its first week of release, making it one of the most successful series in Netflix’s history.
Gabriel Basso returns as Peter Sutherland, the former low-level FBI agent who ends season 1 as a newly recruited Night Agent. Luciane Buchanan reprises her performance as Rose Larkin, a cybersecurity entrepreneur, former tech CEO and Peter’s girlfriend. Michael Malarkey (The Vampire Diaries), Keon Alexander (The Expanse) and Amanda Warren, known for her performances as Lucy Warburton on The Leftovers and Gloria Gary in The Burial, join as series regulars for season 2.
Arienne Mandi also joins the cast of The Night Agent season 2 as a series regular. She plays Noor, a low-level government official who works as part of the Iranian mission to the United Nations in New York City. Other new characters in season 2 include Louis Herthum as international businessman, Jacob Monroe and Berto Colon as Solomon, a former Marine and fixer for a powerful businessman. Brittany Snow, Teddy Sears, Navid Negahban and Rob Heaps also join the cast in recurring roles.
