Squid Game: The Challenge is the first season of the reality television competition show on Netflix. Based on the South Korean survival drama series, Squid Game which premiered in 2021 on Netflix, the competition will feature 456 participants who compete in a series of mysterious challenges for the chance to win $4.56 million US dollars (AUD $6.9 million). At the time of production on the series, this was the largest cash prize in reality television series history. The season will feature ten episodes, with the participants donning the iconic green tracksuits from the original series.
