Synopsis
Sun summoner Alina's adventure continues
Shadow and Bone season 1 ends with Alina Starkov breaking free of The Darkling's grip, but she is highly sought after as a Sun Summoner and needs protection. With the help of her childhood friend Mal, Alina tries to hide her identity but not being able to use her powers proves difficult. Meanwhile The Darkling, General Kirigan, continues to gain power after emerging from the Fold.

What to know
Season and Bone returns for season 2
The second season of Shadow and Bone is a fantasy series produced by Netflix. It is based on the Israeli-American Leigh Bardugo's Grishaverse book series. Shadow and Bone was adapted for television by Eric Heisserer.
Grisha are magical people and there are different types of Grisha: The Materialki who manipulate metal and glass; the Etherealki who summon wind and fire; and the Corporalki who can manipulate bodies. Alina Starkov, the series protagonist is the rarest type of Grisha, one who can summon the light.
Many of the original cast members will be returning for the second season including Jessie Mei Li as Alina Starkov and Ben Barnes as The Darkling, Aleksander Kirigan. Archie Renaux also returns as Alina's childhood friend Mal Oretsev.
