Sex, Drugs and Rock 'n' Roll: The 60s Revealed - Season 1 (2008)

In the 1960s the top TV personality Bernard Braden began a remarkable TV project. Wanting to document the extraordinary decade, he booked a hotel suite, hired a camera crew and shot 376 interviews on colour film. He talked to dozens of 60s stars like Sean Connery, Cilla Black and Tom Jones and a gallery of writers, actors, directors, designers and young hopefuls. They talked about the issues that made the 60s iconic: music, movies and fashion; the pop, teen and celebrity culture; sex and drugs; multiculturalism, politics and protest; and they talked about themselves, their hopes and ambitions and their predictions for the future. This remarkable footage remained unseen for decades. Now, for the first time since the interviews were taken, the interviewees candidly reflect on their statements as if looking at strangers from another era.
