Synopsis
Stede and Blackbeard are alone and heartbroken
After Stede and Blackbeard part, both broken hearted from their split, they each go their separate ways on the ocean. Stede and his crew are looking for a new boat to resume their mischievous pirate activities, while Blackbeard has reverted back to his cruel behaviour.

Taika Waititi and Rhys Darby return as pirate lovers in HBO comedy series
Our Flag Means Death returns for a second season of the pirate romantic comedy series produced by HBO Max. The show is written and created by People of Earth showrunner David Jenkins, and is loosely based on the life of Stede Bonnet. Bonnet was a wealthy 18th century landowner turned pirate, who then later teamed up with the legendary Blackbeard. Fernando Frias returns to direct some episodes of the second season.
Kiwi actor Rhys Darby, known for Flight of the Conchords and What We Do In The Shadows, returns as lead character Stede Bonnet. Taika Waititi (Jojo Rabbit, Thor: Ragnarok) also returns as Edward Teach / Blackbeard. The remaining cast includes Joel Fry as Frenchie, Samba Schutte as Roach, Ewen Bremner as Buttons, Matthew Maher as Black Pete and Con O’Neil as Izzy Hands.
