Synopsis
An unlikely trio investigate a dark conspiracy
After a number of strange incidents, an unlikely trio band together to investigate a nefarious scheme that is happening right under their noses. A local drug dealer, Fontaine, is murdered by his competitor Isaac but he surprisingly wakes up the next day unharmed. Fontaine, alongside Slick Charles and Yo-Yo, follows a trail of clues that lead them to a secret government-backed facility where experiments are being conducted on the Black population in the neighbourhood. This leads to the discovery that Fontaine is actually a clone in the experiment, and he decides to stand against the powerful overlords to protect his community from further harm.

Juel Taylor, writer of Creed II, makes directorial debut
They Cloned Tyrone is an American science-fiction comedy-mystery film co-written and directed by Juel Taylor. Tony Rettenmaier is the other co-writer of the Netflix movie. The duo previously wrote Space Jam: A New Legacy together. The film is produced by Taylor, Rettenmaier, Jamie Foxx, Datari Turner, Charles D. King and Steven “Dr.” Love.
Pierre Charles (Inventing Anna, Euphoria) serves as composer for the film, and Ken Seng, who previously worked on Deadpool serves as cinematographer.
British actor John Boyega (Star Wars Episode VII - The Force Awakens) stars as Fontaine, with Teyonah Parris (Dear White People) as Yo-Yo and Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx (Baby Driver, Ray) as Slick Charles. Kiefer Sutherland (24) and J. Alphonse Nicholson (Just Mercy) round up the cast.
