Synopsis
Professional free diver Alessia Zecchini prepares for a new world record
Alessia Zecchini is an Italian professional free diver, intent on setting a new world record by diving into the Red Sea’s Blue Hole in Dahab, Egypt. While preparing for the dive, she meets Stephen Keenan, another free diver, and they train together while she gears up for her next career milestone.

The Deepest Breath is a documentary film produced by A24, and distributed by Netflix. The documentary is directed by Laura McGann, who previously created Revolutions.
British composer Nainita Desai, having previously composed for For Sama and 14 Peaks: Nothing is Impossible, creates the score.
Professional Italian free diver Alessia Zecchini, and Irish diver Stephen Keenan centre in the film as they prepare for Zecchini’s dive in the Blue Hole, in Dahab, Egypt.
