Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham and 50 Cent headline fourth Expendables film
The Expendables 4 is an action movie directed by Scott Waugh who previously helmed Act of Valor and Need for Speed. The screenplay is co-written by Kurt Wimmer, Tad Daggerhart and Max Adams, based on an original story by Spenser Cohen (Extinction), Wimmer and Daggerhart. This is the first Expendables film which Sylvester Stallone has not written. The film is produced by Jason Statham, Les Weldon, Yariv Lerner, Jeffrey Greenstein, Kevin King-Templeton and Avi Lerner. The first two Expendables films in the franchise were massive box office hits, raking in US $274 million and US$315 million respectively worldwide. The third film was the worst performing, earning US$214.7 million.
Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren and Randy Couture all reprise their roles as Barney Ross, Lee Christmas, Gunner Jenson and Toll Road respectively. The fourth film also features a number of new talents including 50 Cent and Megan Fox. Iko Uwais plays the main antagonist of the film, while Andy Garcia plays a CIA agent.
