Indian teenagers form a band in the 1960s
A group of friends come together to form a band in 1960s India. The band is called The Archies, and the film looks at the friends as they navigate being teenagers and exploring love, music and life together.

Director Zoya Akhtar adapts Archie comics into an Indian musical comedy on Netflix
The Archies is a live-action musical comedy produced by Graphic India and Tiger Baby Films. The movie is distributed by Netflix and based on the fictional rock band from the Archie comics created by Bob Montana and John L. Goldwater. Goldwater is credited as a writer on the film along with Ayesha DeVitre, Reema Kagti and director Zoya Akhtar. Akhtar has previously worked on Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, a Hindi comedy-drama film, and Gully Boy. Acclaimed costume designer Poornamrita Singh is also attached to the project, having previously worked on Life of Pi and The Darjeeling Limited.
Starring in the band is Mihir Ahuja as Jughead Jones, Khushi Kapoor as Betty Cooper, Suhana Khan as Veronica Lodge, Agastya Nanda as Archie Andrews and Vedang Raina as Reggie Mantle.
