Synopsis
Expendable workers embark on suicide mission
A group of employees are tasked with establishing a settlement on Niflheim, a planet of ice. The employees are repeatedly regenerated, becoming new versions of themselves with their old memories intact. An issue arises when an employee, believed to be dead, is already cloned when the original iteration comes back to life. Refusing to allow the clone to take its place, this error causes a ripple effect on the entire mission.

He has previously worked on Se7en, Bardo and Midnight in Paris. Another Okja collaborator, composer Jung Jae-il, also works on Mickey 17.
