Directed by Academy Award nominee Denis Villenueve (Blade Runner 2049, Arrival), with a screenplay from Villenueve and Jon Spaihts (Prometheus, Doctor Strange), the film is distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. Principal photography took place in Budapest, Abu Dhabi and Italy from July to December 2022.

Josh Brolin is Gurney Halleck, Paul's mentor and weapons master of House Atreides. Austin Butler (Elvis) is Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, Florence Pugh (Midsommar) is Princess Irulan, Dave Bautista is Glossu Rabban, with Christopher Walken as Shaddam IV, Lea Seydoux as Lady Margot, McKinley Henderson as Thufir Hawat, Stellan Skarsgard as Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, Charlotte Rampling as Gaius Helen Mohiam and Javier Bardem (No Country for Old Men) as Stilgar. Anya Taylor-Joy is also in the film. Her appearance was kept under wraps until the Dune: Part Two world premiere.
