This show is best described as a comedy about the worst people with absolutely no moral compass doing the worst things brilliantly. What really gets me is how smart it is underneath all the ridiculousness. The show goes right up to the line (sometimes past it), but it's never careless. The offensive jokes aren't there to shock. They're calling out how absurd that behavior actually is. Its satire disguised as stupidity. I've watched Sunny for years, and I keep coming back because it never tries to redeem its characters. They don't change. And that's kind of where the funny comes in.
