Synopsis
A lonely Texan housewife pursues her desires with terrible consequences
Candy Montgomery has been a faithful wife to her husband Pat for years. She’s done everything a 1980s housewife is supposed to do and suddenly can’t see why. As things in the quiet suburb of Wylie, Texas begin to unravel, something within Candy breaks. Throwing caution to the wind, the once submissive housewife is changed and will now do anything to satisfy her own needs. In pursuit of them, something terrible and unforeseen occurs.

Love and Death is a crime drama miniseries produced by Lionsgate Television for HBO Max. The miniseries is inspired by the book, Evidence of Love: A True Story of Passion and Death in the Suburbs by Jim Atkinson. Lesli Linka Glatter directs the series, having worked on the hit shows Homeland, Mad Men, and Twin Peaks. She is joined by screenwriter David E. Kelley known for his writing Anatomy of a Scandal and The Lincoln Lawyer.
The cast of Love and Death is led by American actress Elizabeth Olsen who is best known for her role as Wanda Maximoff in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Olsen plays the main character Candy Montgomery. She is joined in the cast by Jesse Plemons, an American actor who has had notable roles in Breaking Bad, The Irishman, and The Power of the Dog. Plemons plays Allan Gore. There are roles in the series for Patrick Fugit, Lily Rabe, Keir Gilchrist, Elizabeth Marvel, Tom Pelphrey, and Krysten Ritter. Love and Death was released on the streaming service Max on April 27th, 2033.
