Youngers - Season 1 (2013)

In an inner-city world that’s more about swagger than straight ‘A’s, Yemi, 16, has just aced his exams. His family think he is destined for great things – but music keeps pulling him back. In contrast, his best friend Jay is a school dropout who is working with his dad fixing boilers. The boys are opposites in every way apart from their love of music. Following them and their friends as they negotiate teenage life at the same time as trying make it big, Youngers is witty, warm and contemporary. It offers an authentic insight into the lives of teenagers who have dreams and talent but live in a world not often seen in this way.
