The children’s movies following the wholesome tale of the loveable Paddington Bear have brought audiences closer to their tenderest hearts since 2014. Writer and director Paul King helmed the first two films, which are based on the beloved character created by Michael Bond in the late 1950s, giving him an iconic live-action debut. Since then, Paddington has seen the release of a sequel in 2017 that is perhaps even more beloved than the first, and a third film (directed by Dougal Wilson) taking Paddington and the Browns to the Peruvian rainforest released in 2024.

For now, the Paddington films make up a trilogy. The first Paddington introduces the ever-endearing talking Peruvian bear with a penchant for blue coats and red bucket hats. Paddington makes his way to London after his home in the Peruvian rainforest is destroyed, and finds himself adopted by the Brown family.

Paddington in Peru sees Paddington and the Browns go on a trip to Peru to visit his aunt. But when some unexpected events occur, the family end up going on a wild adventure through the Peruvian rainforest. British actor Ben Whishaw voices the character in all three films.
