All Spider-Man Movies in Order (and Where to Watch Them)

Updated on

Marvel Comics’ breakout superhero Spider-Man has found life in numerous cartoons and unlicensed movies and TV shows for many decades. However, it was only in the 2000s when Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy marked the web-slinger’s proper cinematic debut.

Since then, two more actors have gone on to play Spider-Man in live-action movies while the Spider-Verse movies brought many different Spider-Men in the animated format. Additionally, Sony has also produced several spin-off movies on Spider-Man characters like Morbius, Madame Web, and Venom.

If you are confused about how to stream the many movies of the Spider-Man Universe, our streaming guide will take you through its chronological and release order of watching them. We also provide you with information needed on where to stream them online!

How to watch the Spider-Man movies in chronological order

Not all Spider-Man movies share the same continuity and that’s why we have divided these movies into different universes that they belong to. But if you want to have a broader look at the Spider-Man franchise with all the movies featuring the wall-crawler, this is the chronological order to go with:

How to watch Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy

Sam Raimi directed the first three Spider-Man movies with his trilogy acquiring a cult status among many Spider-Man fans. Starring Tobey Maguire as the titular hero, his trilogy included memorable villains such as Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe) and Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina). Here’s Sam Raimi’s trilogy in order:

Additionally, Spider-Man has also served as a member of the MCU superteam Avengers. These are his Avengers appearances in order:

How to watch the Spider-Verse movies

Peter Parker isn’t the only Spider-Man in Marvel Comics. Sony’s animated Spider-Verse franchise fleshed out its theory by focusing on Miles Morales, a teenage Spider-Man from a parallel universe. Peter Parker is given a supporting mentor role while these movies introduce many other iconic Spider-People like Spider-Gwen and Spider-Man 2099/Miguel O’Hara. Here’s where to stream the Spider-Verse movies:

Note that Beyond the Spider-Verse is in development and yet to be released.

How to watch Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (SSU) movies

Apart from Spider-Man, Sony has also produced movies centered around other heroes and villains from Spider-Man comics. This began with Venom who has his own trilogy along with the vampire scientist Morbius and the villainous hunter Kraven. In 2024, Madame Web also introduced Spider-Women from different dimensions.

This is how you can watch them in order of release date (only Venom follows a chronological order and the others are standalone movies).
