Pokémon has been around for over 20 years, and ever since its debut in 1997, the franchise has continued to rule streaming charts across the globe. In this guide, we'll show you where to watch every Pokémon movie and TV show available on streaming services in India.
The original Pokémon TV show, which follows Ash Ketchum’s journey as a Pokémon trainer and his pursuit to win gym badges, has since evolved into an expansive universe with more than 1,200 episodes, 25 movies, and 9 specials documenting the stories of the thousands of Pokémon spread across various regions. The sheer number of Pokémon TV shows and movies itself can make it overwhelming and confusing to decide what to watch. But it doesn't just end there. Much like the creatures themselves, the TV shows, movies, and specials that document them are also scattered across the internet. This streaming guide offers you a detailed list of how and where to watch every Pokémon episode and movie released so far in chronological order.
Every Pokémon TV show streaming online in release order
Pokémon is based on Nintendo’s iconic pocket monsters game Pokémon Red and Blue which was released on the Gameboy back in 1996. Within just a year of its release, the game gained a global fandom, giving way to its first ever TV show, Pokémon: Indigo League. Since then, the TV show has continued to follow the lead of the original games, with each new season of the TV show covering the same regions, Pokémon’s, and gym battles/championship tournaments as the game. While the TV show is largely inspired by the characters, and regions introduced in the latest games, they do also expand on the universe, and include some of their own side-quests, characters, and other adventures.
