How to Watch Bleach In Order: A Streaming Guide

Published on

A trendsetter in supernatural and fantasy anime, Bleach has spawned a cult fan base over time. With numerous anime arcs and spin-off films, Bleach can seem like quite an ambitious journey to embark on for new anime fans.

If you too wish to go on a Bleach binge, we have got you covered with a definitive guide on the original anime series, films, and live-action adaptations and where to stream them right now.

How to watch Bleach in chronological order

The Bleach anime can be watched in chronological order with a sequel series Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War and a few filler movies that you can watch in between some of the arcs.

  • Bleach Seasons 1-5 (Episodes 1-106)

  • Bleach The Movie: Memories of Nobody

  • Bleach Seasons 5-8 (Episodes 107-153)

  • Bleach: Diamond Dust Rebellion

  • Bleach Seasons 8-10 (Episodes 154-198)

  • Bleach: Fade To Black

  • Bleach Seasons 10-14 (Episodes 199-299)

  • Bleach: Hell Verse

  • Bleach Seasons 14-16 (Episodes 300-366)

  • Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War

Bleach follows Ichigo Kurosaki, a teenager who gains the powers of a Soul Reaper to protect the living world from malevolent spirits known as Hollows. The anime blends action, supernatural elements, and intricate storytelling. Its legacy includes a massive fanbase, cultural impact, and influence on subsequent shonen anime and manga.

Among Indian anime fans, Bleach often ranks among the “Big Three” anime (the other two being Naruto and One Piece).

Bleach began airing in 2004 and continued its 16-season run up until 2012. The ambitious manga was brought to life again in 2023 with the sequel series The Thousand Year Blood War which adapted the source material’s final chapters. As for the movies, they add significant backstory to the protagonist Ichigo Kurosaki but can be watched as fillers.

Currently two seasons in with a third one on the way, The Thousand Year Blood War is a must-watch for Bleach fans given they have devoured the 366 episodes of the original series.

Catching up with Bleach can be a Herculean task but at least it’s not One Piece!

Are there any live-action adaptations of Bleach?

Warner Bros also produced a live-action film adaptation of Bleach in 2018, one that satisfied some anime fans but divided critics. Based on the first few manga chapters, one can watch the Bleach movie as a standalone adventure in the franchise.
