Set during the time of the Indian partition, this period-drama follows the unlikely union of Tara Singh, a brute Punjabi man living on the outskirts of Punjab ,and Sakeena, the daughter of a rich and highly educated Muslim aristocrat, amidst the backdrop of war and separation.
