Ji Hye is a proud woman who speaks her mind and works as a writer for a radio show. Tae Wook meets Ji Hye at a private gathering, and after two years of keeping an eye on her, he decides to ask her out. After a year of dating, Ji Hye accepts his marriage proposal despite being unsure about her feelings for him. Tae Wook is a prosecutor and successor of a conglomerate group who decides to marry Ji Hye against his father's wishes. However, Ji Hye asks to call off their engagement because she can't withstand the overwhelming pressure of her future in-laws. Ji Hye then leaves for a trip to Jeju Island, where she meets and falls in love with Hyun Woo, paving the way for these three people's stormy and complicated future.
