HBO series chronicling the iconic Lakers roster of the 1980s returns for a second season
Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty season 2 is the second season for the sports drama TV series created by Max Borenstein and Jim Hecht for HBO. It is based on Jeff Pearlson's book “Showtime: Magic, Kareem, Riley, and the Los Angeles Lakers Dynasty of the 1980s” with the first season following the Showtime era of the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team during the 1980s, starting in late 1979. Emmy Award winner Nicholas Britell and Grammy Award winner Robert Glasper composed the music for the series while Adam McKay, Borenstein and Hecht executive produce along with Kevin Messick, Scott Stephens, Jason Shuman and Rodney Barnes.
