Elisabeth Moss returns for sixth and final season of the acclaimed dystopian TV series
The Handmaid's Tale season 6 is the upcoming sixth season of the dystopian TV series created by Bruce Miller for Hulu. It is based on Margaret Atwood’s 1985 novel of the same name and portrays a dystopian world that emerges after a Second American Civil War. In this society, known as Gilead, a totalitarian regime with theocratic beliefs enslaves fertile women known as "Handmaids," forcing them into a life of reproductive servitude. Miller has previously worked on such TV dramas as ER and The 100. The Handmaid's Tale is a multiple award-winning series and marks a significant milestone for Hulu as it became the first TV series produced by the streaming service to receive a major award. Additionally, it made history as the first series from a streaming platform to win an Emmy for Outstanding Series.
